Care guide

Jewelry materials and finishes vary across the Everword collection. The care guidance below is a good everyday baseline; if the product page gives more specific instructions for your piece, follow those.

Five simple care habits

  1. Keep it dry when you can. Take jewelry off before swimming, bathing or showering. Chlorine, salt water and repeated moisture can be hard on plated and finished surfaces.
  2. Put it on last. Apply perfume, hairspray, lotion and sunscreen first. Let them dry, then put your jewelry on.
  3. Dry it promptly. If a piece gets wet, gently dry it rather than leaving moisture sitting on the surface or chain.
  4. Clean gently. For routine care, use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints, body oils and surface smudges. Avoid bleach, harsh chemical dips and abrasive cleaners unless the product's own care instructions specifically call for something different.
  5. Store it separately. Keep pieces dry and protected so chains do not tangle and surfaces do not rub against harder jewelry.

Personalized name pieces

Cut names and fine script details can have delicate edges. Lift and handle the necklace by the chain when you can rather than pulling on the lettering.

Rose boxes and presentation pieces

Keep decorative boxes, paper flowers and synthetic petals dry and away from strong heat or prolonged direct sunlight. These presentation pieces are designed for display and gifting rather than washing or wet cleaning.

If something is not right

If an item arrives damaged, incorrect or with a production issue, contact hello@shopeverword.com with your order number and clear photos. We may ask for additional documentation if needed. You can also read our Returns and remakes page.

Made to be worn. Meant to be kept.

A little routine care goes a long way. When in doubt, use the exact material and finish listed on your product page as the starting point.
